One Good Man

*Editor's Note: The Top of the Morning Staff has been waiting for director Christian Vuissa's (Errand of Angels and Baptists at our Bar-B-Q) next film to be released. Originally titled A Father in Israel, the movie is scheduled for release October 9th, 2009 under the title One Good Man with a subtitle of Life as a Latter-Day Dad. The movie has already won film society awards and accolades as a rich, authentic look at Mormon life. We hope you enjoy this film clip and spend a few moments reviewing the official One Good Man movie website for more details about this wonderful new addition to Mormon cinema. Christian Vuissa is fast becoming the source for high quality, artistic, heart-warming movies. We haven't seen the movie yet, but if it comes close to Errand of Angels we'll give it four stars and be tempted to go all the way to five. We'll let you know once the movie is released later this year.

David and the Top Of The Morning staff,

This is me, your blog. You may have not noticed, but people are stopping by all hours of the day and night. They are begging to wonder if you are someone that I made up.

I tell them that you are busy. You do have a life after all. Places to go, people to see, things to do and all that. But still they come. Day after day. Hour after hour.

I will admit that after a while I began to lose faith and began to wonder with them. In fact, for a bit, just a little while, mind you, I began to doubt myself and began to believe that I did indeed make you up and I should be put in the nut house for blogs.

But, take heart, I am no longer believing that nonsense. However, it would be great for my morale if one of you could stop by for just a small moment and leave a token post for the masses that stop by with regularity. Even if it is just to let them know that, like Santa Clause and the Easter Bunny, you do indeed exist.

Sincerely yours,
Top Of The Morning blog

Is there any particular reason we are all posting anonymously? Just curious.

Does anyone happen to know why Lehi called the name of one of the valley's where they pitched their tents and stayed for a bit AFTER they found the Liahona, SHAZER? It says that Shazer is Hebrew for "twisting....intertwining." Is there any significance to the name, or is it just a name?

It seems as though the "last good man" has left us. :(

I finally sat down and watched the DVD yesterday. Loved the movie. I would have liked to see a bit more of the struggle the daughter was going through, but since the movie took place over just a few weeks I guess that might have been challenging.
