By looking back, even if only seven days, the future becomes a little less fuzzy, then this weekly Hindsight post will be good for the eyes. Harvard University historian George Santayana said, “Those who do not learn history are condemned to repeat it.” I don't guarantee you won't make the same mistake twice, but you may smile more than once.
Losers and winners were the news of the week. Hillary Clinton fell into the losing category. Or did she? Hillary redid the math on her nomination for the democrat presidential nomination. The numbers hadn't changed. Neither had Bill. By the end of the week she announced her endorsement of Obama for president and unveiled her new political action committee. Hillary for vice president. Hindsight? Know when to quit.
Other winners included FLDS mothers whose children were returned by Texas authorities. It remains unclear if the children are winners. They spent 45 days in what church elders called the evil world outside their West Texas enclave where the children were exposed to something they'd not known: Agency, the freedom to be responsible for their own choices. Hindsight? There are two principles that should define the difference between Christian religions and the impostors. The first is faith in Jesus Christ. The second? Freedom to accept or reject that faith.
And the big winner this week? Top of the Morning, of course. Here at the Top we completed our first full week of daily blogging. Whew. Thanks for joining us and please come back this week when posts will include the For Everything Else There's Love. Its a story about a family flower garden. Another post titled No Comment explores the psyche behind posting a comment on blogs like this one. We know who you are and why you don't post. And don't miss the delightful post about internal and external motivation as our Top of the Morning number one and only scientist uses youth athletes in his experimentation. The title? For What Its Worth. There's also a the unveiling of what will be a new weekly post called Promised Land where we explore Book of Mormon history, anthropology, geography and doctrines that inspired the characters and the plot lines in the Promised Land Historical Fiction Series. And don't forget to come back at the end of the week for an expanded version of Hindsight.
Until then, Top of the Morning to you

So in Hind Sight, when is this going to happen?
It just happened. Hope you enjoy the first attempt at Hindsight. And come back next week when we plan a much more expanded version.
See you during the week or next weekend.
All the best,
David G. Woolley
And the rest of you...leave a comment. We all want to know what you think of the topics here at Top of the Morning.

David,
I, for one, am so glad that you decided to post everyday. I have always enjoyed your writing and now I get a daily dose. Sorta like orange juice. Top of the Morning always brings a smile to my face.
Sandra:
Did you know there is 8 times the vitamin C in a glass of alfalfa grass compared to a glass of orange juice.
Sandra: "No kidding?"
Dave: "That's right, girl. Have you ever seen a sick cow?"
I just ruined your morning. Or maybe your breakfast. Enjoy your lunch.
Why is it called Top of the Morning when you usually don't post until evening? Good intentions, or miscalculations?
Hi Anonymous:
Because I want to enjoy my mornings. Why else?
I'm trying to get ahead and as soon as I do get caught up I plan on posting every morning really early so I can beat you to the computer and have the post up and running at the Top of the Morning so to speak.
I experimented with Top of the Evening, but I couldn't find any cool logos that fit. And how many Irish mataphors are there for a blog title like that.
Sadly, I will have to start writing very early in the morning and keep the name.
Thanks for the comment. You win.

Or, you could go to the bottom of the little box that you write your post in, click on the blue words that say "post options" then look to the right and see where it says "post date and time". Then you change the date to tomorrow's date and the time to really early in the morning, hit the publish button and go about your merry way doing whatever it is that you do best.
The best part about this? In the morning, blogger very nicely and helpfully publishes your blog and you get to enjoy your mornings and the rest of us get to start our day off with a smile (or outright laugh).
Sandra:
You are a genius! You must have had two glasses of alfalfa grass this morning.
Do they have a little blue words for life in general? I could use some time delay options with mowing the lawn.
If you smell any blue smoke, its me over using your suggestion.
David G. Woolley
Sandra...That is a brilliant suggestion.
David...Your Top of the Morning blog is very insightful, and I am sure Hindsight will be equally stimulating.
